Everett Golson has been rumored to be considering a transfer from Notre Dame. Earlier this week, a report claimed the Fighting Irish quarterback was interested in leaving South Bend, Ind., for Baton Rouge, La.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound quarterback seemed to shoot down that report with a tweet.
Thursday afternoon, Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly, making the media rounds on ESPN in Dallas in anticipation of the national championship game on Monday, Jan. 12, talked about the possibility of Golson transferring. He doesn't think it will happen.
By the end of the 2014 season, Golson was splitting time with freshman quarterback Malik Zaire, who started Notre Dame's bowl game against LSU. Golson concluded his junior campaign with 3,445 yards passing and 29 touchdowns, helping lead the Fighting Irish to an 8-5 season.
