Buddy Hield, Ben Simmons Among 35 Players Named To Naismith Trophy Mid-Season List

College basketball has been wide open this year, with no team dominating the regular season as we've seen in some years past. There are, however, some standout players who are starting to define the sport this season. Oklahoma's senior guard Buddy Hield is likely the favorite to take home player of the year accolades, while LSU freshman Ben Simmons continues to prove why he is a near-lock to be picked first overall in this year's NBA Draft.

The Naismith Award just released its mid-season list of award nominees, and it features 35 top players from all across the college basketball world.

Is Hield a shoo-in to win the award, or can another one of these candidates rise up and edge him out?
