The Tigers opened as 10.5-point favorites in the match-up, per OddsShark. The line has continued to move in the direction of Dabo Swinney’s club.
Per OddsShark, most books now have the line at anywhere from Clemson -11, to Clemson -12.5. That is a lot of points for the Tigers to give.
While the points continue to flow to Clemson, bettors have been going for Notre Dame with the high point spread.
Notre Dame has garnered 57-percent of the bets right now.
The total score is set at 55, with 69-percent of bettors going over. Clemson’s probably the most balanced team in the College Football Playoff field, while Notre Dame has a solid offense and a great defense.
Even with a big line, this is still projected to be the closer of the two semifinals. Alabama opened up as a 14.5-point favorite over Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl, and that line has held within half-a-point of that opening number.
Clemson and Notre Dame at the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, Texas will kick off at 4 p.m. ET.
