College Football Playoff Selection Committee Releases Second Official Rankings, Four-Team Field

Last week, college football history was made when the College Football Playoff selection committee released its first ever rankings. A week ago, Mississippi State, Florida State, Auburn, and Ole Miss were slated in the ever-important top four, with Oregon and Alabama being the first two teams on the outside of the playoff field. With Auburn's win over Ole Miss, the top four has received a shake up. Here are this week's new rankings:

Mississippi State shouldn't have too much of an issue remaining undefeated, as the Bulldogs host UT-Martin this weekend. Florida State welcomes Virginia to Tallahassee, Auburn hosts Texas A&M. Oregon may have the most difficult test of any of the top four; the Ducks travel to face a solid Utah team. Alabama and TCU will have great chances to boost their resumes. Alabama travels to LSU, while TCU hosts Kansas State in a game that may help decide the Big 12 championship.
