As the summer rolls around, we’re going to see the 2020 recruiting cycle really start to take shape. Coaching staffs across the country have already gotten off to a fast start putting together their classes for next year.
Recruiting powers Clemson, Alabama, and LSU already have at least 15 commits each. It shouldn’t surprise that they sit atop the rankings right now.
The Tigers are building a particularly impressive class. Of their 16 commits, four are five-star players, and another 11 are four-stars.
That group includes No. 2 recruit Bryan Bresee, an elite defensive tackle, and the country’s top quarterback DJ Uiagalelei.
The Tigers have the top class in the country, and are building what some thing could wind up as the best of all time, though we probably won’t know that until 2024 or so.
Leading off with Clemson, here are the 25 best college football 2020 recruiting classes as of today.
- Notre Dame
- Florida State
- Ohio State
- North Carolina
- Penn State
- Georgia Tech
- Mississippi State
- South Carolina
- Texas A&M
- Oklahoma State
- NC State
There are definitely some interesting inclusions in the top 25. New coaches, like Manny Diaz at Miami, Mack Brown at UNC, and Geoff Collins at Georgia Tech are all thriving. Ryan Day is also in the top 10 at Ohio State, which is not rare for the Buckeyes. They only have nine commits though, so that ranking could definitely be on the rise.
