Virginia Tech’s Eric Kumah announced his transfer from the Hokies last month. Kumah was very productive for a floundering Hokies offense in 2018.
He caught 42 passes for 559 yards and seven touchdowns last season. All three marks were good for second on the team.
Those won’t be the only schools he considers, though.
On Tuesday night, Eric Kumah tweeted a top six schools list, adding three more contenders to the group featuring Notre Dame and Penn State.
Cincinnati, Louisville, and Old Dominion are also involved.

Penn State could particularly use a veteran receiver like Kumah in 2019.
The Nittany Lions have lost two wide receivers to transfer already—Juwan Johnson and Brandon Polk—while redshirt sophomore Cam Sullivan-Brown is in the transfer portal and exploring his options.
Penn State will also have a new starting quarterback, with the graduation of Trace McSorley. This will be an interesting year of transition for James Franklin’s club.
Notre Dame, the other powerhouse involved, has an established passer in Ian Book, and a more stable situation. There isn’t really an indication of which school Kumah is leaning towards as of now.
