ESPN is facing some criticism for what its announcers said about Brian Kelly during Notre Dame's College Football Playoff semifinal game against Clemson.

The ESPN broadcast made a big point about how Kelly has attempted to be more calm and relaxed on the sideline this season, basically saying that he's been less of a jerk this year.

This isn't sitting well with people.

"College coach getting praised for not being the insane out of control bully he once was," tweeted one columnist.

"So we're giving Brian Kelly credit bc he no longer acts like a deranged maniac??? That's a helluva standard. Cool, cool, cool," tweeted an MLB Network host.

"Tell us more about what a great guy Brian Kelly is," tweeted The Athletic's Zac Jackson.

Kelly and Notre Dame currently have their work cut out for them against Clemson.

The Tigers are leading this contest, 9-3. The game is being televised on ESPN.
