In just a few hours the College Football Playoff kicks off with a match-up between No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish and Tigers are just over five and a half hours from an opportunity that places them in the championship game.

Notre Dame last made the title game in 2012, while the Tigers have been there more recently - and won in 2016. Dabo Swinney and company had the title ripped from their hands in 2017 as Alabama took down the Tigers in the Sugar Bowl to reach the title last year.

Now they're hoping for redemption.

ESPN gives the Tigers a sizable advantage in this afternoon's contest. The Worldwide Leader gives Clemson a 71.5-percent chance to take down the Fighting Irish today.

Notre Dame and Clemson are fighting to keep their undefeated seasons alive, but someone's going home unhappy. The Fighting Irish and Tigers kick off at 4:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
