When Oregon lost to an unranked Arizona squad at home on October 2, there were many college football fans who figured that the Ducks' chances at reaching the College Football Playoff were all but gone. Just a few weeks later, they're back in the national title picture, by virtue of their quality play and what's gone on across the country.
Monday, Danny Kanell even made a bold proclamation - he thinks that if the committee was picking teams today, Oregon would get the No. 4 seed and beat both Mississippi State and Ole Miss to win the national championship. He thinks that a key injury played a part in the Arizona loss.
It's important to note these are not projections - they're the four teams that he believes have done enough to warrant inclusion right now.
