Notre Dame will face its second-straight ranked opponent on Saturday. The Fighting Irish almost escaped Athens with a win over Georgia last Saturday. But a few late stops from the Dawgs' defense ended the upset bid. Now, ND looks to bounce back on Saturday against No. 18 Virginia.

The Cavaliers don't play a pretty brand of football. But head coach Bronco Mendenhall knows how to win games. Virginia is 4-0 heading into Saturday's contest with notable wins over Pitt and Florida State.

Can Virginia pull off the upset of Notre Dame on Saturday?

Heading into the matchup, ESPN has released its final prediction for Notre Dame-Virginia. The computer model is loving the Fighting Irish in this one.

ESPN gives Notre Dame a 89.6% chance to win, as opposed to just a 10.3% chance for Virginia.

Will Saturday's contest be lopsided?

The Fighting Irish are 10.5-point favorites according to the spread, and many are expecting they'll not only win, but cover as well. It all depends on how the team responds to last week's adversity.

College football is unforgiving. How quickly a team can bounce back dictates the season's outcome. There's still plenty left to play for and a playoff selection isn't out of the picture for ND. But the Cavaliers want to play spoiler on Saturday.

Notre Dame and Virginia kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
