The Dallas Cowboys just made the most beloved pick of the NFL Draft, taking injured Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith with the No. 34 overall selection.

Smith injured his knee in the Fiesta Bowl and likely won't play at all during the 2016 season.

One of the players he faced in that Fiesta Bowl, Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott, is now his teammate.

Elliott welcomed Smith to the team on Twitter.
