5 Notre Dame Football Players Arrested For Gun, Marijuana Possession

Five Notre Dame players were arrested on Friday night for gun and marijuana possession. Te'Von Coney, Max Redfield, Kevin Stepherson Jr., Dexter Williams, and Ashton White were taken in just after 10 p.m. in Indiana's Fulton County.

In a separate incident, cornerback Devin Butler was also arrested on Friday night for battery on law enforcement and resisting law enforcement. Notre Dame put out a brief statement on the incidents.

Redfield, a senior safety, was fourth on the Fighting Irish defense in tackles last season, with 64 total. He also recorded a sack and an interception.

Coney, a sophomore linebacker, played in 12 games for the Fighting Irish in 2015, recording 13 tackles.

Williams, a sophomore running back, played in seven games in 2015, and rushed for 81 yards and had 20 return yards.

Sohpomore cornerback Ashton White, a former three-star recruit out of Washington, D.C., did not play as a true freshman for Notre Dame.

Stepherson is a freshman wide receiver from Jacksonville, Florida. He was a three-star recruit in the class of 2016, and was ranked 96th among his class' wide receivers by 247Sports.
