Here's ESPN's Latest College Football Power Index

ESPN's latest 2015 football power index.

ESPN FPI

There are a lot of college football polls out there. There's the Coaches Poll, the AP Poll, ESPN's Power Rankings, our College Football Playoff rankings, etc.

Here's another one.

This one, ESPN's Football Power Index, is probably the most ridiculous. According to ESPN's FPI, three of the top five teams in the country have already lost. The team some would put at No. 1 right now, Utah, is all the way down at No. 19. Michigan State, ranked No. 2 in many polls, barely squeaks into the top 25.

Here it is:

  1. Baylor
  2. USC
  3. TCU
  4. Alabama
  5. Ole Miss
  6. Oklahoma
  7. Texas A&M
  8. Ohio State
  9. LSU
  10. Notre Dame
  11. Stanford
  12. Georgia
  13. Clemson
  14. Florida
  15. Tennessee
  16. West Virginia
  17. UCLA
  18. Florida State
  19. Utah
  20. Michigan
  21. Boise State
  22. Georgia Tech
  23. Arkansas
  24. Mississippi State
  25. Michigan State

So, yeah, it's quite a poll. It's all mathematically based, too. You can see all the numbers that went into it and the rest of the poll here
