Notre Dame basketball scored a huge win against in-state rival Purdue today. It may have come at a large cost, with what sounds like a significant Rex Pflueger injury.
The senior played 30 minutes, scoring seven points and dishing out 10 assists for the Fighting Irish before going down with what has been suspected as a torn ACL.
Their team mantra is #RiseTogether.

Pflueger has been a pretty significant four-year contributor for Notre Dame. If this is how his senior year ends, it would be pretty devastating.
After the game, Mike Brey said that the team fears the worst and that Rex Pflueger might have a torn ACL.
From Tom Noie of the South Bend Tribune
#NotreDame coach Mike Brey on Rex Pflueger – “There’s fear that it’s an ACL. “I’m sick. We may lose him for the year. It’s unbelievable. It’s like, come on now.
“I think we’re prepared for the worst.”

Pflueger was able to be in the locker room after the game to congratulate his teammates. He also took to Twitter after the game.

The Fighting Irish are 7-3 after the 88-80 win over the Boilermakers. They’re back in action on Tuesday against Binghamton.
