Notre Dame guard Jerian Grant had quite the redemption season. After missing much of his junior year with academic issues, Grant came back for his senior campaign, and on September 2, posted a message to Instagram, where he promised to himself that he would join Notre Dame's list of basketball All-Americans. Seven months later, Grant finished the year scoring 16.5 points a game, leading the Irish to their first Elite Eight under Mike Brey, and a near upset of No. 1 Kentucky. He was also named a consensus first team All-American. Mission accomplished.
For today's "throwback Thursday," Grant reposted the picture from September with a long, thankful message.
Grant had a fantastic year for Notre Dame. We're excited to see what he can do at the next level.
