Kentucky Takes Over As No. 1 In Week 3 College Basketball Polls

Week 3 AP basketball poll.

In what has been an upset-filled young college basketball season, No. 1 North Carolina fell at Northern Iowa on Saturday. Naturally, the Tar Heels, who are playing without top guard Marcus Paige, have tumbled down the polls here in week three, and a familiar program has ascended to the top spot—Kentucky. Michigan State, which landed a big win over Kansas on Tuesday, leaps into the top five in both polls, while Miami has shot into both Top 25 rankings after being absent last week.
