The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are making their first College Football Playoff appearance and have a lot to be proud of. But the school is going above and beyond in making the players feel welcome during their hotel stay.

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit shared video footage of the floor at the hotel the team is staying at, revealing that the floor tiles had been altered to show the names and numbers of all of the Notre Dame players.

Herbstreit noted his approval. "Wow!! Great idea and very classy," he wrote.

The Fighting Irish will be playing against the Clemson Tigers in the 2018 Cotton Bowl Classic next weekend.

Notre Dame finished the 2018 regular season with a 12-0 record, while Clemson secured their spot in the College Football Playoff with an undefeated regular season record and an ACC title.

Notre Dame's last appearance in the Cotton Bowl was in 1994, when they won back-to-back Cotton Bowl Classics against Texas A&M.

Clemson is appearing in the Cotton Bowl Classic for the first time since 1940.

Notre Dame and Clemson are set to kick off at 4 p.m. E.T. on ESPN on Dec. 29.
