LeBron James' Cousin Commits To Notre Dame

The Irish hope Jamel has half the talent of LeBron.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that the rest of LeBron's family is pretty athletic, too.

While not quite "The Decision", LeBron's younger cousin Jamel James committed to the University of Notre Dame this weekend, MaxPreps reports.

James is a soon-to-be senior running back in the Class of 2013, from Katy, Texas. He chose the Irish over USC, Florida State, LSU, West Virginia, and others, citing academics as one of his top priorities.

Maybe LeBron helped guide Jamel in his recruiting process, as King James once received an offer to play football at Notre Dame while Urban Meyer was there as an assistant coach.

A great pickup for the Irish, and their whopping 18th commitment in the Class of 2013 so far.
