Notre Dame Will Block Malik Zaire From Transferring To 11 Schools

Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire will be transferring from the university. The school will reportedly block him from heading to 11 schools.

Tuesday night, it was reported that Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire would be transferring from the university. Wednesday, ESPN is reporting that while the school has granted him his release, it'll ban him from transferring to 11 schools.

Those 11 schools? The teams on Notre Dame's 2017 schedule, minus North Carolina. That means Zaire can't transfer to Temple, Georgia, Boston College, Michigan State, Miami (OH), USC, NC State, Wake Forest, Miami (FL), Navy and Stanford.

For the record, this is standard operating procedure. Most schools place transfer limits on players who have been granted release.

Tuesday, Scout reported that Zaire's "primary contenders" were Michigan State, Florida, Wisconsin and Pittsburgh.
