If you haven't heard by now, Deadspin published an astonishing piece today claiming that Manti Te'o's "deceased" girlfriend never even actually existed. Notre Dame then released a statement, writing that the joke was on Te'o himself, contrary to Deadspin's account of the situation. Te'o then released a statementof his own, reiterating Notre Dame's claim that he was in fact the victim.
