Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick "All For" Controversial Satellite Camps

The satellite camp issue has made waves this off-season, with Big Ten coaches embracing their ability to increase exposure in other rich recruiting areas, while ACC and SEC coaches are barred from doing the same. New Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has wholeheartedly embraced the rule, inviting coaches from other programs to come work or speak at his "Exposure U" camp. The SEC will not allow any of its coaches to take part. Despite an affiliation with the ACC< Notre Dame remains independent in football, and unsurprisingly, athletic director Jack Swarbrick has no problem with these camps.

This comes as little surprise. Notre Dame values its national brand, as evidenced by the school's geographically diverse rivals and the various series and neutral site games that the Irish play across the country. Satellite camps make a ton of sense for a nationally prominent program in an area that isn't recruit-heavy like South Bend.
