Notre Dame Assistant Officially Headed To The NFL

The Fighting Irish assistant is off to the NFL.

Notre Dame offensive line coach Harry Hiestand is officially off to the NFL.

The Fighting Irish announced this evening that the 59-year-old coach has accepted the same position with the Chicago Bears.

Here's the announcement from Notre Dame:

Hiestand is considered to be one of the best offensive line coaches in the country. He'd been with the Fighting Irish since 2012 and previously coached on the Bears' staff from 2005-09.
