Notre Dame CB KeiVarae Russell Declares For The NFL Draft

Notre Dame cornerback KeiVarae Russell has declared for the NFL Draft, he announced Monday. Russell detailed his decision in an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated's Pete Thamel

Russell also acknowledged the move in an Instagram post thanking his mother and grandfather.

After starting all 26 games at cornerback in 2012 and 2013, Russell was suspended for the 2014 season due to an honor code violation.

This season, Russell recorded 60 tackles, six passes defensed and two interceptions in 11 games. He missed the Fighting Irish's last two contests after suffering a broken leg against Boston College on Nov. 21.
