Notre Dame defensive tackle Jay Hayes will not play this weekend. The reason: the tweets he sent earlier this week regarding the Fighting Irish's coaching staff. Hayes tweeted, "When a coach stops coaching you...that's when you (just) gotta move on," and "Gotta get this (national championship) and I'm out." He later deleted the tweets.
Brian Kelly announced tonight that Hayes will miss Notre Dame's game against UMass.
