No one predicted Michigan would jump out to a quick 17-0 lead against Notre Dame tonight. But here we are.

The Wolverines are sticking to the running game and relying on their defense to shut down the Fighting Irish. Given the game's horrendous weather conditions, Michigan is being forced to stick with what it does best — and it's working.

Wolverine fans are more than happy to see their team playing well against a top-10 opponent. On the flip side, Notre Dame's fans are furious with the team's abysmal start to the game.

Here's what a few Fighting Irish fans had to say about ND's first half performance.

"I like Brian Kelly. I do. He’s a good coach. But man. He just can not coach a team to win a big game if his life depended on it. It’s so aggravating," one Notre Dame fan said on Saturday night.

"Is it finally time for Brian Kelly’s departure from South Bend? He can’t win big games and it looks like he’s reached his pinnacle as a coach - having a good team, but can’t achieve greatness," another fan chimed in.

Seems like ND fans are getting tired of Brian Kelly and the team's struggle to reach an elite level. But with tonight's game conditions and considering the crazy nature of college football, anything can happen.
