The first makes sense as the Fighting Irish open the season with a trip to Louisville to take on the Cardinals. To be fair, the ACC opponents on Notre Dame’s schedule shouldn’t offer too much of a challenge for the Fighting Irish.
Louisville, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Duke and Boston College aren’t on the same playing field as Notre Dame. Meanwhile, the Irish get the week off before traveling to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan.
