ESPN released its latest college football power rankings on Tuesday, and there was quite a bit of movement. Most notably, Notre Dame jumped eight spots after defeating Texas at home in South Bend, 38-3, and now sits No. 4 on the list. But the Irish weren't the only ones playing ESPN's version of 'Chutes and Ladders.'
Along with Notre Dame, Texas A&M also made a massive jump - 14 spots - after defeating No. 15 Arizona State in Houston last weekend, 38-17, moving from No. 25 to No. 11 in the power rankings. But as fast as ND and A&M climbed ladders, others found chutes. After easily handling opening weekend opponents, No. 7 Auburn dropped four spots, No. 12 Florida State dropped three and No. 13 Georgia also dropped three.
Here are the complete rankings:
1. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
6. Michigan State
11. Texas A&M
16. Georgia Tech
17. Ole Miss
22. Boise State
25. West Virginia
With so much movement already happening within ESPN's power rankings, it will be interesting to see what changes occur next week. What do you guys think about the changes in this week's rankings?
