McIntosh is the fourth Fighting Irish player suspended for the game.

Notre Dame has suspended its third-leading rusher, running back Deon McIntosh, for the upcoming Citrus Bowl against LSU due to a violation of team rules.

McIntosh joins running back C.J. Holmes, wide receiver Kevin Stepherson and tight end Alize Mack as Notre Dame players suspended this month. Mack was suspended for an "internal team matter" while Stepherson and Holmes were punished after being caught shoplifting.

Stepherson is also facing a marijuana possession charge.

A redshirt freshman, McIntosh rushed for 368 yards and five touchdowns this season.

Notre Dame and LSU will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on ABC on Jan. 1.
