Notre Dame tight end Tyler Luatua will stay in South Bend. Head coach Brian Kelly made the news official Friday afternoon.
This past February, Luatua announced that he'd be transferring to BYU ahead of the 2016 season. Earlier this week, it was reported by a number of publications that Luatua might have changed his mind on the move. He cited wanting to be closer to his family as the reason for looking elsewhere.

Luatua, a sophomore, has played in 20 games - mainly as a blocker. This will help Notre Dame's depth at the position in 2016.
