Notre Dame played an unbelievable game on Saturday night, and fell just one basket short of dealing Kentucky its first loss of the year, and an early NCAA Tournament exit. Senior guard Jerian Grant tallied 15 points and six assists, while forward Pat Connaughton scored eight points and gathered nine rebounds in the loss. Notre Dame athletics posted a simple, class Instagram photo to thank the two for their standout Irish careers.
Connaughton and Grant are definitely two Notre Dame greats, and two key cogs in the best season of Mike Brey's long tenure in South Bend. They will be missed by the Fighting Irish faithful.
