Back in June 2013, when DeShone Kizer was a four-star recruit, the quarterback decided to call Brian Kelly with some news.
The news: Kizer was committing to Notre Dame.
It was, unsurprisingly, a great phone call for Kelly, who took the call at the New England Patriots' facility, as he was visiting the franchise. In the room with Kelly when he took the call was Tom Brady, the Patriots' star quarterback.
Asked about that today (with Notre Dame set to play in Boston), the Fighting Irish's quarterback threw a little shade at the Hall of Fame quarterback and his former school, Michigan.

That was a playful response from Kizer, but it's a good one.
Notre Dame and Kizer are set to play Boston College at 7:30 p.m. E.T. Saturday. The game will be televised on NBC.
