Notre Dame is getting crushed by Clemson in the Cotton Bowl on Saturday night, and there are a lot of college football fans who are wondering whether the Fighting Irish belonged in the College Football Playoff. There are a number of college football players who are wondering the same thing.

Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins isn't impressed. Neither is Georgia star Mecole Hardman.

Or Georgia wideout Terry Godwin. Or incoming Ohio State freshman Garrett Wilson.

There are more - and they suggest the same thing. It's clear that both the Bulldogs and the Buckeyes feel they were more deserving than Notre Dame at the moment.

Notre Dame went 12-0, so it would have been shocking if the Fighting Irish had been left out. But the last two times they've had a shot at a national title, they've struggled.

It's currently 30-3 Clemson early in the fourth quarter.

Clemson, if it holds on, will take on the winner of Alabama vs. Oklahoma next week.
