Paul Finebaum Reveals His Score Prediction For Clemson-Notre Dame

Paul Finebaum explains why Clemson will lose on First Take. He believes Big Ten football teams will compete for the College Football Playoff in 2017.

ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum previewed today's College Football Playoff semifinal games during a SportsCenter appearance this morning.

Finebaum believes the Clemson-Notre Dame game will be the closer of the two, though he's confident in the Tigers' ability to win the game.

The college football guru unveiled his score prediction for this afternoon's contest. He likes Clemson.

Finebaum's prediction: Clemson 31, Notre Dame 24.

The ESPN college football analyst does believe Notre Dame will be strongly motivated, at least.

"They’re a more complete team (than they have been),” Finebaum said earlier. "I’ll never forget standing on this field (Miami) in 2012 with a couple former head coaches and looking at the comparison between Alabama and Notre Dame. They said this is not going to be close because Alabama is so much more physical. Notre Dame has been haunted by that and I think that is a motivation for this team.

Biran Kelly has overhauled his program since that 4-8 season tow years ago and this is a different team. They have a shot at getting by today, but whether they can (win it all) in a week is a different story."

Clemson and Notre Dame are set to kick off at 4 p.m. E.T.

The game will be on ESPN.
