Photo: Michigan Football Is Already Tweeting Pictures Making Fun Of Notre Dame

Shots fired.

Michigan-Notre Dame has been an incredible football series in the past 20 years, even though Irish head coach Brian Kelly doesn't consider it a rivalry. This weekend, the two powerhouses will square off in "Under The Lights II" at the Big House, in front of what is expected to be the biggest crowd in college football history. Oh, and ESPN's College GameDay will be in Ann Arbor too.

With so much hype surrounding the game, there is sure to be a lot of trash talk flying back and forth this week. This morning, it appears that Michigan fired the first shot via Twitter:

We can only hope this inspires a fun social media battle with Notre Dame's account all week -- after all, there are only two more opportunities (including this one) for the schools to fire back and forth before the two programs take a break from playing each other.

If the game goes anything like the one last season, in which the Irish picked off 5 straight pass attempts for Michigan at one point, then Notre Dame fans will be giving the thumbs up Saturday night.
