When a high school football player verbally commits to play his collegiate ball at a certain school, that doesn't just mean that all of the others that were in pursuit of his services suddenly are just going to back off. Take for example USC commit Daelin Hayes, a four-star linebacker recruit who announced back in July that he'd be playing for the Trojans in 2016. Monday, Hayes posted a photo to his Instagram page that shows all of the recruiting letters he's recently gotten from football programs.
There are a few from Florida State, Wisconsin, Utah and USC. There are a lot from Notre Dame, USC's biggest rival.
Hayes, according to 247 Sports, made an unofficial visit to Notre Dame back in June, and has since committed to USC. Perhaps the Irish think they can flip him?
