Photos: Notre Dame Has Officially Made The Switch From Adidas To Under Armour

As of 12:01 a.m. this morning, Notre Dame athletics is officially with Under Armour, ending a 17-year relationship with Adidas. The Fighting Irish inked a 10-year, $90 million deal with the Baltimore based company, as part of the biggest apparel partnership in NCAA history.

Notre Dame joins Maryland, Texas Tech, Auburn and South Carolina as major schools sponsored by Under Armour.

“Texas Tech is different from Maryland is different from Notre Dame. We don’t have to invent any new history. We don’t have to tell any new stories. Notre Dame is quite simply Notre Dame,” CEO Kevin Plank said in a press conference.

The school has made sure everyone on campus is aware of the apparel change, opening its bookstore late Monday evening to celebrate the switch and to put its Under Armour gear on sale.
