In-state rivals will both leave their campuses on Saturday night, as Purdue takes on Notre Dame at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Boilermakers opened the season with back-to-back home games against MAC opponents. They survived 43-34 against Western Michigan. Last week was a different story, as they lost by three touchdowns to Central Michigan.
Notre Dame hasn’t been distracted by an academic scandal that wound up with four players being suspended in August. The Irish started strong against Rice and throttled Michigan 31-0 last week.

TV Channel: NBC
Location: Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis, IN)
Betting Line: Notre Dame -28 via 5Dimes
Prediction: Four touchdowns is a huge point spread, especially on a neutral field. However, this line is justified. Purdue looked more like a MAC team than a Big Ten team on Saturday.
Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson has been spectacular this season after a one-year absence. The Irish defense, which many were unsure about before the season began, has also looked terrific. That being said, Notre Dame blasted Michigan mostly because of turnovers and field position. It’s hard to know if they can rely on that kind of thing.
The Irish often have trouble with the Boilermakers, but they won’t this week. We’ll take the Irish and the points.
