They say it's "the more the merrier", but Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly cannot be very happy right now with players leaving the Irish program in numbers.
Several weeks ago, rising sophomore quarterback Gunner Kiel decided to leave Notre Dame to pursue playing at another school with less quarterback competition. Then, just last night, news broke that wide-receiver Davonte' Neal would leaving as well in order to be closer to home and his six-week old baby.
Now you can add another name to the list -- a third rising sophomore -- wide-receiver Justin Ferguson. This was reported by Jason Sapp of BGI:
Certainly another shocker, although it is believed that Ferguson was much less likely to get serious playing time this year than his teammate Neal who is leaving.
