This Notre Dame Family Is Going All-Out For The BCS National Championship Game

Earlier this morning, we posted a photo of a hardcore Notre Dame fan's lawn painted like a football field.

Now, we've got a few more pictures, and the story behind the intricate decoration. Josh Guereque wrote in to explain his father's Fighting Irish dedication.

"I have been a Notre Dame Fan my whole life. My Father, Larry Guereque, and I live in California. We have many things in this house that show our love for Notre Dame; shirts, jerseys, posters, and of course the movie Rudy. But what my father has done for this BCS National Championship game is unreal."

Check out their front yard below. The field was done by a good friend named Chino who works as an assistant coach at the high school in town.

So where'd the motivation come from to go all out? It seems it all stems from a promise over a year ago:

"Over a year ago, when Notre Dame was playing Florida State in the Champs Sports Bowl, my father turned to me and said, “ I have a lot of faith in Brian Kelly and I think he is our guy to bring us a National Championship. If we ever go, I promise you we will turn the front yard into a Notre Dame field.” I looked at my father and got excited, but we both didn’t think it would happen so soon."

"We watched the USC vs. Notre Dame Game at our house this year in our backyard on our projector screen (below) and once the game finished, I looked at my dad and he said to me, “Its gonna happen Josh, we are gonna do it.”"

Sadly, the Guereque's have never actually attended a Notre Dame football game. As Josh explains, this is their way of experiencing Fighting Irish football.

"My father and I have dreamed of going to a game and still have never been. Finances have never been on our side, so we try our best to bring ND to our home."

The only question remaining is what comes next if Notre Dame wins on Monday.

"We are possibly looking into making a replica of the #1 sign ND has on campus."

Your move, Bama fans.
