Tommy Tremble, a three-star tight end from Georgia, is the newest member of Notre Dame's recruiting class.

Tremble made his decision moments ago, with less than a week to go before the new early National Signing Day on December 20.

He was down to the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Michigan, and UCLA as finalists.

Michigan was seen as Notre Dame's main competition, and with a late visit to UCLA and in-home with Chip Kelly, it seemed like the Bruins might make a push. However, in the end, he went with ND.

His full note:

"I just want to stop and say thanks to the man upstairs. I've been praying for this moment since I was 4 years old. I also want to thank my parents for believing in me since I've had that dream and also supporting me 100%. I'd like to thank every school that has invested their time into me and given me a chance to play at the next level. I'd also like to thank Coach Pridgen, Coach Helmerich and the entire Wesleyan community for what they've done for me even during my hardships. With all of that said I'd like to announce that I will be committing to... The University of Notre Dame"

Tremble is the 20th player to commit to the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame now has 20 members of the 2018 recruiting class, which is ranked sixth in the country per 247Sports.
