Story: The Hoyas tight perimeter defense held the Irish to only a 34% field goal percentage and 2-16 from three point range, which allowed them to control the tempo of the game. Meanwhile, Georgetown shot 53% from the field and dominated Notre Dame on the boards (34-22). Although down by as many as 15 early, ND actually pulled to within three points with about 10 minutes left and Georgetown in the bonus. However, some key Irish misses at the charity stripe allowed the Hoyas to run away with this one late.
