Earlier: Notre Dame cornerback Julian Love was an All-American this season. Right now, the Fighting Irish are playing without him.

Love has missed two series in a row for undisclosed reasons. On the second series, his replacement Donte Vaughn was beaten for a touchdown.

That touchdown is the reason Clemson currently leads 9-3.

Right now, there has been no concrete update for Love's absence. If he has to miss the rest of the game, ND's secondary could be in trouble.

We will provide an update on Love's status as soon as one comes out. The ESPN broadcast says Notre Dame is tight-lipped in regards to injuries, but someone has to know something soon.

Clemson and Notre Dame are midway through the second quarter at the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Update
: Love reportedly spent more than 15 minutes in the blue medical tent getting his hamstring looked at. He is currently on the sideline riding a stationary bike.

We'd imagine he tries to give it a go but we'll see how his leg holds up.
