Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith would have been a top-five pick if he hadn't suffered a devastating knee injury in the team's Fiesta Bowl loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes. As it stands, Smith is going to miss the entire 2016 season recovering, so there was much uncertainty regarding when he'd be drafted, if at all.
As it turns out, Smith was picked No. 34 overall by the Dallas Cowboys. His emotional phone call with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was captured by the ESPN cameras, and the NFL released the full footage today.

Such an incredible amount of emotion in that video. Really hard not to be happy for Smith and root for him at the next level.
