On Saturday afternoon the College Football Playoff finally graced the televisions sets all across the country as No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Notre Dame met in the Cotton Bowl. After a brief delay due to a stray bald eagle, the game kicked off just after 4:00 p.m. ET.

The opening possessions for both teams failed to net much yardage and even fewer points. Clemson came in with one of the best offenses in the nation, but failed to find a first down on its first drive of the game.

Clemson chose to punt from deep in its own territory, but only launched the ball to midfield. That delighted Notre Dame fans everywhere, including one Irish fan that took the opportunity for a little dance.

Check it out.

Notre Dame and Clemson remain scoreless with just over 10 minutes left in the first quarter - though the Tigers are driving after an Ian Book fumble.

Stay tuned.
