What To Watch For This Weekend In College Hockey

Still mad about the lockout? Here's what NCAA hockey games are on tap for the weekend.

Fed up with the NHL Lockout? Don't worry, there's still a way to get your hockey fix. This weekend, there is an amazing slate of games that are sure to help you get through these struggling times.

No. 14 Colorado College vs. No. 2 Denver - The Battle of the Pan happens once again in Colorado. Denver is ranked second in the nation and is looking to pick up two wins in this home and home series. Last season, Colorado College won the prestigious trophy, but look for sophomore defenseman Joey LeLeggia to play some big minutes for the Pioneers and continue to have a great season.

Wisconsin at No. 3 Minnesota - The Big Ten will have its first inaugural season of ice hockey next year, but that doesn't mean there still aren't bragging rights between these two schools. The Badgers and Golden Gophers will face off at Marriucci Arena where No. 3 Minnesota has yet to lose this year. A large reason for this outstanding home record is breakthrough freshman goalie Adam Wilcox. Keep an eye out on Wisconsin's Michael Mersch to have a big game. The LA Kings prospect already has recorded four goals in six games. On Saturday, this game will be shown on the Big Ten Network at 9 p.m.

No. 8 Notre Dame at No. 13 Michigan - No matter what sport these schools play, it's always a rivalry. The two teams will face off in Yost Arena and there is not a doubt in anyone's mind that these two top 15 teams will have that place rocking. They will open up their two game series Thursday night and will close out the series on Saturday night. Freshman Jacob Trouba (9th overall pick for Winnipeg) has been the best defensemen the Wolverines have had this season and he looks to continue to add to his 8-point season. Look for Trouba and the Wolverines to make a statement at home against the Irish. You can watch this game Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on CBS SportsNet.
