Former Notre Dame star Pat Connaughton had to make a decision between the MLB and NBA (he chose basketball), but perhaps his true calling was on the football field.
The Portland Trailblazers’ guard played both baseball and basketball for the Fighting Irish. He was a fourth-round pick by the Orioles in the 2014 MLB Draft and a second-round pick by Portland in the 2015 NBA Draft.
On Twitter this afternoon, Connaughton showed off his ridiculous arm strength.
Here’s the 6-foot-5 athlete throwing a football 80 yards.

Baseball scouts are still drooling over that arm strength.
Connaughton played in 40 games for Portland during the 2015-16 season, including six appearances in playoff games.
