Taylor Swift Made Promise To Caitlin Clark For 2025 WNBA Season
Taylor Swift hasn't attended a WNBA game just yet, but make no mistake about it, she's a huge fan of Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
In November, Clark attended a Taylor Swift concert. In a recent interview with TIME Magazine, she revealed that she received several bags of merchandise from the Grammy Award winner just for stopping by her Eras Tour. She was also handed a note from Swift. The NCAA's all-time leading scorer was told that she was "inspiring" to watch from afar.
Swift then revealed that she won't be watching Clark from afar next season. That's because she plans on attending a Fever game once her tour wraps up.
The note that Clark received from Swift states that she'll check out the Fever with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during the 2025 season. At least that's the plan right now.
Kelce will most likely be fired up to watch Clark compete in-person. He raved about the WNBA Rookie of the Year on his "New Heights" podcast.
"Saw Caitlin Clark there, got to meet Caitlin,” Kelce said. “She’s awesome, she loves being out there in Indianapolis, says it’s a fun city, and we’re both just true Midwesterners to the heart. Played high school ball, college ball, pro ball all out here in the Midwest, and it was cool catching up with her.”
Clark put on a show for Fever fans throughout the 2024 season, averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game. Her production on the court helped Indiana get back to the playoffs for the first time in eight years.
The Fever will enter the 2025 season with sky-high expectations, but that probably won't be an issue considering they hired an accomplished coach in Stephanie White.
If we had to guess, the buzz surrounding the Fever will be even greater once Swift makes an appearance at a home game. When that'll happen though is unknown at this time.
The Fever will begin their 2025 season on May 17 against the Chicago Sky.
