Yankees Fans Are Officially Done With Manager Aaron Boone
The Yankees' struggles continued this Saturday, losing 8-1 to the Red Sox at home.
With the loss officially in the books, the Yankees have dropped to 60-63 on the season. At this point, the team looks uninspired and has no interest in showing any fight.
While it's highly unlikely the Yankees made a massive move in the next few days or weeks, the fan base in New York wants management to fire Aaron Boone.
Boone hasn't done enough good things as the manager this season to warrant another year in the Bronx. That's just the cold hard truth.
"Fire Aaron Boone tonight," one fan said. "This can’t continue without someone losing their job TONIGHT. Send shockwaves through that clubhouse. It needs to be done. This team has ZERO fight under this manager."
Another fan said, "Over the next 6 weeks the media will tell you that the Yankees are playing hard for Aaron Boone when it is clear to everybody with eyes that they’ve quit."
"Aaron Boone was good for 1 hit, 1 inning. He's not a Yankees legend. Fire him. Fire Cashman. Build a contender for next year or this will be the foreseeable future," a third fan wrote.
The Yankees have lost seven games in a row. In their last four games, they've scored a total of four runs.
Barring a late-season miracle, the Yankees will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
