Alabama's 2017 recruiting class took a hit today.
Xavier McKinney, a four-star safety, announced on Twitter that he has decommitted from the Crimson Tide. He was the only defensive back committed to Alabama in the '17 class.
Who will Alabama look at to replace McKinney in its 2017 class?
Perhaps JaCoby Stevens, a five-star recruit out of Tennessee and the No. 1 athlete in the class.
That's who Alabama four-star defensive end commit VanDarius Cowan is looking at, anyway.
Stevens, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound athlete out of Murfreesboro, Tenn., is the No. 24 player in the 2017 class, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He also has interest in Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee.
Stevens is set to make his commitment on July 19. He seemed to enjoy his visit to Alabama in June.
Alabama's 2017 recruiting class is ranked the No. 3 class in the country.
