Alabama's Alphonse Taylor Tweets About His DUI Arrest, Indefinite Suspension

Alabama announced on Monday that Crimson Tide offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor has been suspended indefinitely from the program.

Taylor, a senior, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with a DUI.

The offensive guard took to Twitter this morning to tweet about his situation.

"Isolated events does not define ones character," he wrote.

Taylor started every game for Alabama during its national championship run last season, but he was demoted to second-string this spring as Nick Saban was unhappy with his weight. Many expected him to take back the starting job before the season opened, though.

Alabama opens its 2016 season Sept. 3 against USC at the Cowboys' stadium in Arlington, Texas.
